Buddie's Essential Oil Story.
As you can see from the photo below Buddie had a growth on his underbelly. (I don't want to call it a tumour as it sounds too serious). It didn't seem to give her any trouble but I thought I had better have it checked.
I went to the vet on Friday 8th Jan 2010. The Vet said that it would need to be cut out asap and a sample taken to check if it was maligant. If it was maligant it would be ongoing therapy for Buddie. The vet also said that most maligant growths in dogs spread to their liver. In a panic I booked Buddie for surgery for the following Monday. Taken 19/1/2010 lower underbelly Red, and soft. 2.5cm in diameter My gut feeling over the weekend was 'what am I thinking', 'do I really want to put Buddie through all this?. Surgery, with the possibly of long term medication, radiation or chemo? Don't get me wrong. I have had vets attend my animals over the years and they have been excellent, but my gut feeling was, 'it felt wrong', so I cancelled the surgery.
I knew there had been wonderful results using essential oils on tumors so I started using Gratitude essential oil only because that was the only oil I had with Francinsence in it. This did not seem to have much effect. I then tried Francinsense and Balsam Fir. There didn't seem much of a change, so I sought further advice and was advised to try Helichrysum and Cistus essential oils together. 2nd Photo tumor changing colour and hardening. My order for Helichrysum and Cistus came on the 18 Jan 2010 . I began to place 3 - 4 drops of each oil on the tumour 2 - 3 times a day. That was not every day as some days I was out for most of the day. There seemed to be a slight change and the lump had changed colour and started to get harder on one side. |
