Natural Treatment for Mould using Essential OilsAfter the continuous down pour of rain that we have been experiencing over the last few weeks, many of us are now fighting mould and mildew in your homes. Mould can be dangerous to your health, even if you aren’t allergic. If you are feeling tired and depressed it could be from the mould spores in the air. Clove Essential Oil is commonly used for cleaning mould. It inhibits mould by attacking and killing the spores. Always use protective equipment (face mask, gloves) and take precautions to avoid contact with and breathing mold spores while cleaning. Always test on an area first as some surfaces may leave mark. Method One Cleaning solution (for a simple, natural cleaner, bicarbonate soda and vinegar) Clove essential oil Water Plastic sprayer container Directions: The surface should be cleaned with a solution of vinegar and bicarbonate soda. Thieves Essential Oil Thieves Essential oil was used by 15th-century thieves, who rubbed oils on themselves to avoid contacting the plague while they robbed the bodies of the dead and dying. When apprehended, these thieves disclosed the formula of herbs, spices, and oils they used to protect themselves in exchange for more lenient punishment. This blend of therapeutic grade "A" oils was tested at Weber State University (1997) for its potent antimicrobial properties. THIEVES was found to have a 99.96 percent kill rate against airborne bacteria. The oils are highly antiviral, antiseptic, antibacterial, anti-infectious and protect the body against such foreign agents as viruses, flu, colds, sinusitis, bronchitis, pneumonia, sore throats, cuts, and more. * Another analysis showed a 90% reduction in the number of gram positive Micrococcus luteus organisms after diffusing Thieves for 12 minutes. * After diffusing Thieves for a total of 20 minutes, there was a 99.3 percent reduction. * Another study against the gram negative Pseudomonas aeruginosa showed a kill rate of 99.96% after just 12 minutes of diffusion. Diffusing Thieves essential oil in the room that has mould will help to kill the airborne pours and also protect your family from infection. Seal the room if necessary. |
